CO2 Reduction

Mitsuboshi Diamond Industrial is adopting ISO 14001 (an international standard for environmental management systems) as the foundation of a companywide environmental management system.
We are promoting energy conservation not just in production bases, but also in the Head Office and other non-production areas.

The steps outlined below are being applied in all MDI bases inside and outside Japan. Through business activities, we aim to contribute wherever possible to conservation of the environment, and to be an environment-friendly corporation.

Management of air-conditioning
  • Optimize AC temperatures
  • Turn off AC in rooms not being used
Management of lighting facilities
  • Maintain lighting at optimal levels
  • Turn off lights when not needed (lunch break, etc.)
Management of OA equipment
  • Turn off at power source if not to be used for extended period
  • Set printers to power-save mode
  • Select energy-efficient equipment when purchasing
Other
  • Replace company vehicles with eco-friendly models
  • Use video-conferences actively to reduce need for business travel
