Awareness is not limited to issues of compliance, for reducing risk and improving regulations. The importance of a better work environment as a means of raising employee motivation and improving productivity is also recognized.
Corporations worldwide are establishing safety and health criteria. The OHSAS 18001 series prescribe requirements for implementation of such criteria in work safety and health management systems.
Objectives include risk management in work safety and health, the improvement of safety in business activity as well as the reduction of risks and accidents relating to work, and the safeguarding of company assets.
Above all, the OHSAS 18001 series aims to provide workers with a safe and healthy work-place environment.
OHSAS 18001 is globally the most widely accepted international standard for work safety and health management systems.
With OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2004 certification, Mitsuboshi Diamond Industrial introduced mechanisms for concrete development of work safety and health, and environmental policy. MDI has established systems for maintaining the safety and health of all people working for the company, and for undertaking corporate activities that integrate the needs of the global environment. We are continually reviewing and improving the systems.
