Mitsuboshi Diamond Industrial Co.,Ltd. (HQ: Suita, Osaka, President: Yasuaki Miyake) announces its participation in the coming exhibition "The 24th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition", held from September 21st (Monday) to 24th (Thursday) in Hamburg, Germany together with its overseas subsidiary MDI Schott Advanced Processing GmbH.
This time MDI will present technologies and devices for processing thin-film photovoltaic cells, developed with more than 70 years of experience in glass cutting. Especially for thin-film photovoltaic cells made of the chemical compound CIGS, a P2P3-mechanical patterning process and laser-scribing process will be demonstrated. Also P1-patterning, edge isolation and ID-marking will be presented as well as a new technology of hole-drilling and marking into glass panels by green laser for wiring.
