An Interview with Our President, Masaki Wakabayashi, Was Published in the November 28, 2025 Issue of Newsweek International.
The interview is featured in a special report titled “Japan’s Semiconductor Ecosystem Plays Key Role in Transforming Chip Industry.” Newsweek International Magazine was published in both print and digital editions (www.newsweek.com), reaching over 75 million readers across 59 countries, including Japan.
In this interview, he discusses the fusion of the Japanese spirit of “Monozukuri” (craftsmanship), cultivated since our founding in 1935, with cutting-edge technology. He specifically highlighted that amidst the rapid global increase in semiconductor demand and rising environmental awareness, our proprietary Scribe and Break (SnB) technology is attracting attention as a solution that revolutionizes conventional processing methods. As a water-free dry process, the SnB method simultaneously achieves reduced environmental impact and improved productivity in the manufacturing of next-generation power semiconductors such as SiC and GaN.
