Research Paper by MDI Employee Published in the International Journal of Fracture
We are pleased to announce that a research paper authored by our employee, Kumiko Murakami, has been published in the International Journal of Fracture, a distinguished international scientific journal in the field of fracture mechanics.
The paper, titled “Formation mechanism of two different crack surfaces in a median crack formed by scribing wheel,” elucidates the formation mechanism of median cracks, which occurs during the scribing process—a core technology of Mitsuboshi Diamond Industrial. By clarifying the factors that control the condition of crack surfaces, this research is expected to contribute to the realization of higher precision and quality in the processing of brittle materials.
In line with our corporate philosophy of “Walking While Looking to the Future,” we are committed to the theoretical understanding and innovation of the processing technologies we have cultivated since our founding. We will continue to promote such fundamental research and leverage its outcomes to serve our customers and contribute to the advancement of society.
