• SnB Technology for Third-Generation Semiconductor Chipping Process
  「We are changing the norm of SiC cutting.」
  We will introduce our next-generation processing technology, which applies our unique SnB (Scribe and Break) method, cultivated since our company’s founding, to the chipping process of compound semiconductors, including SiC. This technology simultaneously achieves high precision, high productivity, low cost, and reduced environmental impact.
  The SnB method is an abbreviation of “Scribe and Break processing,” a method used for breaking brittle materials such as glass.
  Traditionally, it has been widely used for cutting hard and brittle materials, such as liquid crystal glass substrates. MDI, however, has developed a unique scribing wheel and expanded its application to the dicing of compound semiconductor materials.
