How to Choose a Glass Cutter

Features of Glass Cutters

Our high-performance glass cutters can be widely used across various glass materials and thicknesses, from FPD and construction materials to automotive and hobby applications. It is also possible to inject oil into the cutter body for glass cutting. By using oil, it permeates the cutting line, preventing glass debris from scattering and improving the quality of the glass cutting surface.

The glass cutter products from Mitsuboshi Diamond Industrial Co., Ltd. are of high quality and reliability, meeting diverse needs. For specific product selection, please refer to the guide below to research the product models.

Names of PartsDetailed Information
1.Cutting EdgeThe cutting edge specifications come in four types (Micro Penett®, Penett®, APIO®, Normal Wheel) depending on thickness and intended use.
2.Holder/Holder Slim TypeThe holder is designed for straight cuts (handles: M15, M17, M19) and a slim type for curved cuts (handles: M16, M18, M20).
3.CouplerBy twisting the coupler (handles: M17, M18) to inject oil, it allows the oil to permeate the cutting edge, preventing glass debris from scattering.
4.HandleThree types of durable and comfortable-to-hold designs are available (handles: M15/M16, M17/M18, M19/M20).
5.Cap ScrewThe cap screw (handles: M15, M16, M19, M20) can be twisted to allow for oil injection.
