“Suwa Area Industrial Messe,” held in the Suwa region located almost in the center of Japan, aims to “create an attractive SUWA brand” and is celebrating its 23rd anniversary this year. The NAGANO-Suwa region is home to numerous small and medium-sized enterprises, regardless of their size, that possess unique ultra-precision and micro-processing technologies in fields such as cutting, pressing, electronics, and molds. The presence of abundant retired personnel from regional companies also represents a significant strength of this area. Leveraging these strengths, the event not only achieves substantial business results but also serves as a platform bringing together many individuals with diverse needs and seeds across various fields.

Moreover, this exhibition is a nationally rare event as an “industrial specialized exhibition visited by children,” serving as a venue for nurturing the next generation of talent, including local elementary, junior high, high school, and university students. This year, the event will again be held at the Okayama Citizens’ General Gymnasium on the shores of Lake Suwa, implementing various initiatives focused on the exhibition’s primary objective of “expanding sales channels” and its characteristic feature of “fostering the next generation of human resources.”
