MDI Converts MDI SCHOTT Advanced Processing GmbH into a Wholly Owned Subsidiary
As of Feb 20, 2015, Mitsuboshi Diamond Industrial Co., Ltd.(MDI) has acquired SCHOTT AG’s ownership stake in MDI SCHOTT Advanced Processing GmbH, which develops and manufactures and sells for laser machine/ engine in EU/US.
As a result, MDI SCHOTT Advanced Processing GmbH has been converted into a wholly owned
subsidiary of MDI.
■Reason for making the company a wholly owned subsidiary of MDI
With respect to the Acquisitions of laser cutting businesses of SCHOTT AG, in Jun 2005
MDI received an ownership stake of 80% in MDI SCHOTT Advanced Processing GmbH.
MDI has now received SCHOTT’s 20% ownership stake, establishing MDI SCHOTT Advanced Processing GmbH as a wholly owned subsidiary of MDI.
Due to the conversion of MDI SCHOTT Advanced Processing GmbH into a wholly owned subsidiary of MDI, as of Mar 1, 2015, the company’s name has been changed to MDI Advanced Processing GmbH.
